An innocent answer

For you and with you forever, my littel girl !
The one liners from little kids can sometimes make you laugh or cry.Last night was one such moment.We were explaining the meaning of orphans and orphanage to Prisha.We had been to one with her for her birthday in India and she did look a bit quiet after the visit. But when we talked about it to her, she had many questions.When she asked where were the parents of such kids, we told her they went up to heaven in the sky.To it she added," in the clouds like grandpa (dadu)".She then said-" when you go up , Rishabh (her brother) and I would go there".We just froze.
After a few minutes, the emotional mum in me assured her that I would be there for her always.But this sentence and her expression are imprinted in my mind forever.

    Oh, what a tough moment! My older son (Matthew) has been realizing that some people die lately, and he believes that only old people die. We had a great uncle die recently (who was not very old), and he couldn't understand it. It was heartbreaking to see the gravity of life and death dawn on his conscience.

    We've talked about adopting some day, but the expense is so very high from the states (over $20,000)! I wish all of the children who had lost parents could find a new family.
